Officials in the Alabama Supreme Court are busy ridding themselves, their courtroom, their offices and their building of Chief Justice Roy Moore. Moore was suspended for the remainder of his term by a state committee over claims by the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center that he was telling probate judges what to do, even though he specifically said he wasn’t telling them what to do.

He’s filed an appeal and a motion to recuse a number of judges who have expressed an opinion on the dispute, so the issue is far from resolved. Nevertheless, on Thursday acting Chief Justice Lyn Stuart and Justice Michael Bolin called in three law clerks who formerly worked for Moore and fired them. FULL REPORT
