One Mid-South sheriff is implementing what he calls a zero-tolerance policy against creepy clowns in his county. Tuesday, Cross County Sheriff JR Smith posted to his Facebook page and said the county had received one report of a clown sighting. According to Smith, one person reported seeing four men dressed as clowns driving on West Meriaman Street in Wynne, Arkansas.

Smith said he wanted to quell some fears that the sheriff’s office had received multiple calls, but added that he will not tolerate the intimidation. “If someone wishes to dress up and conceal their identity with the intent to scare or harass our citizens, they will be arrested and transported to the sheriff’s office,” Smith wrote. “Not one citizen should be or will be subjected to this act of foolishness.” READ MORE
