A shocking new survey has revealed more than a quarter of Muslims in France follow hardline Islam and almost half support Sharia law. The study shows 28 percent of French Muslims follow an “authoritarian” interpretation of texts that advocate a split from French society. It also unearthed that more than 14 percent of 15 to 25-year-olds believe Islamic Sharia law carries more weight than that of their place of residence.
The survey, conducted by the Institut Montaigne think tank, also highlighted hardline Islamic support tends to originate from young people who do not have jobs or much of an education.
