The Bible speaks of the “Falling Away” that will take place in the end times, and it appears that this headline is simply confirming this prophecy. According to a new report from the Washington Examiner, Half of Americans who have left their church no longer believe in God, leading a surge of nearly one-quarter of the nation who have no affiliation with any religion, according to a new survey.
Pew Research Center said Wednesday that 49 percent of what they term “nones” left their church and religion because they “don’t believe.” Another 20 percent said they don’t like organized religion. Other reasons included “common sense” and a lack of believe in miracles. The survey is the latest from Pew that demonstrates a growing trend in America: More and more people are junking religion, and many are giving up on God. CONTINUE
This is so sad. I would like to share a story of my experience with miracles that hopefully, someone who is in doubt, will reconsider. I believe in miracles and all glory goes to God for my experience. When I was 29, I was driving a body load bulk cement truck down South Pass in Wyoming early one morning. I must have dozed off for a few seconds and then woke up. The truck was accelerating in speed and my brakes were glazed over and I could not catch a lower gear to slow the truck down. To my right was about a thousand foot drop-off and to my right was a climbing slope. No seat belt on, was too late to buckle it, was in full panic. I thought about jumping out of the truck, but thought if that did not kill me, a driverless truck would surely kill someone else after I jumped out. My speed was 50 mph and increasing. I made the decision to ride it out and at that instant I screamed “GOD HELP ME”!!!!!!!! I headed for the incline. Last thing I remember is my head hitting the steering wheel. Witnesses who were behind me, seen me thrown out the driver’s door, the truck flipped, I hit the ground and they seen part of the cab roll over my body and head. The truck uprighted itself and I was laying face down in the dirt right beside the driver side tire and the truck still running. Everyone classified the crash as a “mystery crash” I should have been killed. 40.000 pounds worth of truck rolled over me. I ended up with a sizeable knot on my forehead, a broken nose and some minor cuts and abrasions. Spent a week in the hospital. I believe to this day that God heard me and He answered my cry in the cab of that truck. Everyone from the people who stopped to helped me, to the EMTs, to the doctors, could not believe that I survived such a crash. Glory goes to my wonderful and most merciful God! I believe in miracles and always will. He DOES look after everybody! I hope this story encourages anyone who has even the slightest amount of doubt in miracles, or our Lord. I am sorry, but I just had to share this particular story. I love the Lord, Most High and Righteous! God Bless to all of you!
Religion has always been a problem. Religion is not faith. Most if not all the religious institutions has totally mislead the congregation. The WORD of God is clear, breaking one commandment equals breaking them all. Faith is meant to start inside, the soul and spirit of a person must have faith in the unseen, then the seen will confirm the seen. But our leaders preaches hypocrisy, pompousness, boasting, pride to the congregants. People are taught that there are special clothes for church attendance, people should look a certain way to enter the premises of churches. Everything is outward and pleasing to the eye. Sooner or later one gets tired of looking good, but being rotten inside. Faith talks to the soul and spirit, the inner person feels rotten and unworthy. The Holy Spirit works with the inner person, he/she is convicted, he/she wants to change, he/she needs to change, then he/she gives in the renewing Spirit of God. What the world sees becomes nothing to the faithful, only what God sees is important. Selfies becomes less and Jesus becomes more of a faithful being. The great falling away is caused by man-made religious rules that produces nothing to the soul of an individual. Instead of leaders and pastors point us directly to Scriptures, they have come with words that are sweet to the ear and we follow the man, not the Creator. People are hearing how God loves them regardless of what they did (which is true), but the pastors fail to complete this truth, that God also expects them to repent and turn away from their worldly lusts and follow His commandments. Ultimately, unrepentant hearts attend church to feel better, but because the conviction of the Holy Spirit is ignored no satisfaction or forgiveness is felt by them, so they feel no point to attend a church. Some even attend church for prosperity, not for the renewing of oneself. I was attending Anglican church once upon a time, but I never felt the forgiveness of God until the Holy Spirit told me that I have been ignoring him because of the religious system that I am in. I left that institution and I am Holy Spirit driven, my life, my marriage, my household has improved drastically because of the one on one relationship I have with Jesus.
We left the church, but not because we are not of a strong faith. but, because so many will preach the false message that these people are desiring to hear, to keep them there. We have found no true churches around us and this is so sad. Miss corporating annointing, but it cannot flow when error is preached and the Holy Spirit is blocked at the front door.
