President Obama, during a Thursday press conference in Japan, took potshots at Donald Trump and said the billionaire businessman’s run for the White House has set leaders around the world on edge – and “for good reason,” he said. “They are not sure how seriously to take some of his pronouncements,” Obama said, NBC News reported, “but they’re rattled by him – and for good reason, because a lot of the proposals that he’s made display either ignorance of world affairs or a cavalier attitude.”

Obama then characterized Trump as simply a showboat, not a true political contender, pointing to the candidate’s busy Twitter site as proof. “[He’s more into] getting tweets and headlines [than] actually thinking through” America’s needs, and what would keep the “world on an even keel,” Obama said.
