A political showdown between North Carolina and the federal government loomed Thursday as Republican state leaders vowed to defy the U.S. Justice Department’s deadline to repeal the state’s contentious new bathroom law. The Justice Department notified Gov. Pat McCrory in a letter Wednesday that the state’s House Bill 2, which restricts transgender bathroom access and has become a focus in the LGBT rights fight, violates sections of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. It gave the state until Monday to “remedy” the violations.
On Thursday, North Carolina House Speaker Tim Moore said legislators would not meet the federal government’s deadline. “We will take no action by Monday,” Moore told reporters in a video broadcast by the Raleigh News & Observer. “That deadline will come and go. Good for you! The last thing we need are transgender bathrooms. The ONLY reason people like obama, Eddie vettet, Rosie odonald don’t care is they all have bodyguards/security for their kids who also carry guns. The other right we have as Americans. What possible good could come from transgender bathrooms? What I ask. None absolutely none. It is twisted sick.

Close down bathrooms and it will no longer be an issue. You can also just have 2 family bathrooms where 1 family/or person can use it. Issues are then dead. I stand with NC any keeping men and women bathrooms. Mostly for the reason of protection of women and children. It is like hiring a pedifile to work in a nursery. Perverts can come into the womens bathroom pretending to be LGBT and really not. Since we cannot go by their sex now to determined if they are LGBT how will we know the difference if a pervert is entering. What is wrong with our government trying to put our women and children safety in harms way. LGBT rights is one thing but safety of women and children is another. We all have the rights to go to the bathroom and feel safe. LGBT is making it unsafe. Your rights are not being taken away. You have the right to go to the bathroom but when you want to go in the opposite sex bathroom you are taking away the right of the non LGBT community. North Carolina thank you for putting all people first and not just LGBT.
