(Sid Roth) Is this year’s Presidential election designed to sear our conscience with a spirit of scorn? To “scorn” means to boast, mock, be critical or arrogant. God says if we do this we will lose His blessings! Psalm 1:1-3 says, “BLESSED is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the SCORNFUL; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and WHATEVER he does shall PROSPER.”

If we sit in the position of a SCORNER, it will disqualify us from playing an integral role in the next move of God’s Spirit! But if we heed what Psalm 1:1-3 instructs, we will be front and center and used by God beyond our wildest expectations. Have you noticed lately the conspicuous absence of preaching and teaching on repentance? This is a major tentacle of the spirit of scorn.
